Coronavirus (COVID-19) Preparation and Actions

 Akpan's Classic Cuts is committed to the health and well-being of our partners, guests and the community that we serve.  As such, we have been closely monitoring the ever changing situation around COVID-19 (which is known as coronavirus) , and making/adjusting plans as new information becomes available. We are following guidance from 

the CDC, WHO and local/state health authorities. and  have taken additional precautionary steps out of an abundance of caution:

 

Our Safety Promise

  • We are closely following guidance from the CDC and local health departments 

  • We have implemented enhanced protocols for cleaning and sanitizing our shop

  • We are reinforcing illness prevention procedures (e.g., frequent handwashing, not touching one’s face, staying home if sick) with our barbers

  • Our team members are required to wear face mask and other PPE

  • Social distancing within the shop and barber chairs

  • We sanitize each station after each service

  • Sanitize cap after each service

  • Gloves are required for service

  • Limit the number of guest in waiting area and in the shop 

  • Everyone entering the shop must wear a face mask

  • Temperature checks
     

Additionally, we encourage our guest to follow guidelines that are proposed to prevent the spread of any respiratory virus: 

 

  • Wear face mask

  • Follow social distancing guidelines

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. 

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. 

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 

  • Stay home when you are sick. 

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or use a tissue to cover it, then throw the tissue in the trash. 

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
